The ambitious vision of Seaport San Diego isn’t just to transform 70 acres of prime waterfront. It’s goal is to create a uniquely San Diegan destination that celebrates the water while providing a world class experience to people from around the world. This diverse new community will open up the waterfront with more public space and feature retail, restaurants, an aquarium, learning center, office space, and hotel rooms priced for every budget.

Recognizing that supplying sufficient parking to meet demand for this new San Diego centerpiece will be critical to its success, Watry Design, Inc. was asked to perform a shared parking analysis that will serve as a tool to develop cost effective operational strategies. To best suit the project’s needs, several types of solutions are being considered, including both conventional and mechanical parking layouts that utilize valet operations.
