Image for Chiron Building 12A Parking Structure

This project is phase one of an eight-level stand-alone parking structure at the Chiron campus expansion project in Emeryville, California. This phase consists of 880 stalls of approximately 292,500 s.f., with the eventual build-out of the structure to include 2,100 stalls.

Watry Design, the Architect/Engineer-of-Record for the parking structure, designed the garage in phases as specified in the master plan created by Flad & Associates Architects. Legorreta & Legorreta Architects of Mexico City provided the design concept, in keeping with the distinct master plan for the campus.

The structural frame consists of cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete beams and slabs, supported by concrete columns and walls. The seismic-resisting system consists of concrete shear walls and special moment-resisting frames (Dual System).
