If shoppers have to spend most of their time searching for an open parking space, it can deter them from venturing out into a retail environment. Innovating new ways to enhance the arrival experience through parking design can improve customer service. 

We will be attending the International Council of Shopping Centers’ CenterBuild Event Dec. 3-6 in Phoenix, AZ and would love to talk to you about the latest innovations in parking design and how they can be integrated into both new and existing parking. 

About the Author

Derek Beaudoin, SE, a licensed California structural engineer, has been creating parking solutions for over 15 years. He has worked on over 50 parking projects. In addition to delivering projects to satisfied clients, Derek’s projects, such as the UC Davis Medical Center Parking Structure and the UC San Diego Hopkins Parking Structure, have received recognition from the International Parking & Mobility Institute and other associations. Derek is an active participant in the Design Build Institute of America, the International Parking Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
