About the Authors

John Purinton, SE has been creating parking solutions for over 25 years. John is a licensed engineer in 8 states. He is responsible for the design of over 150 parking projects and leads parking structure design for the firm. Currently the Vice Chair of NPA's Parking Consultant’s Council, John was a contributor to the latest edition of The Dimensions of Parking and has both written and spoken on design build delivery and the cost of parking structures.

Michael Pendergrass, AIA, a licensed architect in 7 states, has over 15 years of experience in delivering parking solutions and over 20 in the industry. He has worked on a wide variety of parking projects. In addition to delivering projects to satisfied clients, Michael’s projects have received recognition from the International Parking & Mobility Institute and other organizations.

Derek Beaudoin, SE, a licensed California structural engineer, has been creating parking solutions for over 15 years. He has worked on over 50 parking projects. In addition to delivering projects to satisfied clients, Derek’s projects, such as the UC Davis Medical Center Parking Structure and the UC San Diego Hopkins Parking Structure, have received recognition from the International Parking & Mobility Institute and other associations. Derek is an active participant in the Design Build Institute of America, the International Parking Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Hannah Brooks has over 25 years of experience in business development and marketing. She is actively involved with championing Sustainable Parking Best Practices, the Society for Marketing Professional Services, Design Build Institute of America and the International Parking & Mobility Institute. In addition to having penned on topics such as Branding Versus Positioning and the Value of a Formal Marketing & Business Development Plan, Hannah has received Addy awards ranging from web design to music production.
