To support Workday's rapid growth and success, the company envisioned a new headquarters that would become a landmark in the City of Pleasanton. The new 410,000 square foot campus will make an architectural statement with pedestrian arcades and a glass wall curtain system with horizontal and vertical panels. Innovative sustainability features include making the facility 48% more energy efficient than standard office buildings and pursuit of LEED Platinum certification.

To provide adequate parking for the complex, Watry Design, Inc. was brought on to integrate subterranean parking below the main office building as well as design a parking structure to support and enhance the corporate campus.

In addition to parking, the subterranean parking levels will incorporate space for delivery and storage. The 6 level parking structure will feature cascading speed ramps to provide highly efficient vehicle circulation. Parking access control systems and a parking guidance system will provide both safety and a high level of service to employees and visitors. To contribute to Workday's sustainability goals, the Watry Design team incorporated photovoltaic panels and electric vehicle charging stations into the design.

Located near the West Dublin-Pleasanton BART, the campus will mark a significant achievement for transit oriented development in the City. A pedestrian path will link the parking structure and campus to the nearby BART station via a public plaza. Great care was taken to provide a cohesive parking strategy  for the Workday campus while providing clear separation from the adjacent BART parking structure.
