Mitsui Fudosan America, the U.S. subsidiary of the Japanese conglomerate Mitsui Fudosan, has a vision for a parking lot which it has owned for over 20 years in downtown Los Angeles.
The company plans to replace the lot with a 42-story tower. The high-rise will hold 436 residential units as well as approximately 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and a 510 stall garage with four below-grade levels and four above-grade levels.
To accommodate ridesharing services such as Uber and Lyft, an expanded drop off area will be incorporated into the ground level.
Watry Design is also designing the parking controls to create private access for residents.
