The first stage of the 'patient journey' is usually parking, and that experience often falls short of user expectations. At the ASHE PDC Summit March 12-15, 2017, I'll discuss how best parking practices utilized at both the UC Davis Medical Center and the Alta Bates Summit Medical Center helped them enhance the patient experience.
- What’s the Best Parking Calculator? One of the largest complaints about parking in healthcare is that there isn’t enough. So, how do you determine how many stalls to provide?
- Who Needs to Park Where? It is important that patient and visitor parking be identified uniquely. How do you distribute the many different user groups?
- Wayfinding’s Critical Role.Providing the right wayfinding to direct people to the proper location to park and then the proper direction to enter the building is crucial. How can you assist wayfinding both before the user even leaves their house and once they arrive at the parking garage?
I look forward to seeing you at the Summit to discuss how to answer these questions and more!
