Vehicles are constantly changing, meaning parking space design is constantly changing with it. The National Parking Association recently released the 6th Edition of the Parking Space Design: Guidelines for Parking Geometrics, featuring the industry's latest trends. The newly updated edition examines best practices for effective parking design for today's vehicles, and now includes guidelines for motorcycle parking, bicycle parking and light vehicle height and weight considerations. The book is written and updated by members of the NPA’s Parking Consultants Council including Watry Design Principal David LoCoco.
