On May 18, 2018, the San Diego Terminal 2 Parking Plaza will open to the public, marking the culmination of a highly collaborative progressive design build environment created to achieve the Airport's vision of a new front door for Terminal 2. 

Join us one day prior to preview this landmark project at DBIA's Western Pacific Region Annual Conference on May 17th in San Diego, where representatives from the Swinerton Builders|Watry Design|Gensler team as well as San Diego Airport will walk you through the project. 

Learn about the unique team building process utilized by the design build team prior to the pursuit, the innovative and challenging procurement process and how the team set the foundation for success with an extensive stakeholder collaboration process that built mutual trust between the team and the Airport. 


About the Author

John Purinton, SE has been creating parking solutions for over 25 years. John is a licensed engineer in 8 states. He is responsible for the design of over 125 parking projects and leads parking structure design for the firm. Currently the Vice Chair of NPA's Parking Consultant’s Council, John was a contributor to the latest edition of The Dimensions of Parking and has both written and spoken on design build delivery and the cost of parking structures.
