As an Associate Principal, Anita leverages over 15 years of experience in the engineering of parking structures to coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors throughout all design and construction phases of the project. Anita has extensive training in structural engineering, including award-winning projects such as the San Jose State University South Campus Multi-Level Parking Structure & Sports Field Facility.
Her experience includes all phases of design, from preliminary design through construction documents. Anita is a member of the International Parking & Mobility Institute and the Design Build Institute of America. She has written and spoken on topics such as adaptive reuse and integrating parking on college campuses.
"When we design parking, we look holistically at the site and take into consideration its unique constraints and the desired level of service," says Anita. "However, uses evolve and preferences change. If you determine your parking is no longer serving your users as well as it could be, it might be time for a “functional fix.”
